It should be, but I have seen posts in the past where getting pictures from camera does not give all the options. Probably depends on specific camera and compatibility with Bridge. Card readers are cheap, and you don't use the camera battery for the operation.

There is specific advice, often repeated, in the forums to avoid downloading direct from the camera for a variety of reasons.

I been offline for a while. I find it very strange that the convert to dng option is not there at all!? I'm definitely no expert on the cs3-package, but could it have to do with the your version of the camera raw plug in? Just a wild guess.

Seems like the only course of action.

This got the DNG option in Photodownloader to appear in my case:

Bridge
Edit - Preferences - Advanced - International

choose a language in the checkboxes, I choose English in both. And tata there it is.

Lycka till

JM

No worries!
I had tried everything, it put me off the "real" work for days. It's one of those things you want to just be there and work!
The solution must be sorted under intuition. After reinstalling and more I went through preferences again and saw the unchecked boxes under "international" and thought what the heck, lets try end checkem. It must be a bug in bridge of some sort.
I've been on another adobe forum for it before;

<http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3c059752>

it proved helpfull for me, you and hopefully some more people out there.
