I am currently using FrameMaker 8.0 and having a problem with the autonumbering of my tables and figures.
Is there a way to have these as seperate numbering but still referencing the Chapter number? E.g. CHAPTER 1 Table 1.1 Figure 1.1 Figure 1.2 Table 1.2 CHAPTER 2 Figure 2.1 Table 2.1 Figure 2.2 Table 2.2 Thanks in advanced! Skye |

If your chapters are separate files, then you should be using the $chapnum variable and control that at the book level. If all of your chapters are in a single file, then you have to define your autonumber sequences to use the matrix method and have the chapter number paratag reset the sub-ordinate paratag autonumbers. This is explained in the "Using multiple counters in an autonumber format" section of the Help file. The first method is the easiest to use and maintain. |
