Default Client Text Insets with FDK

I am writing a client text inset using the Framemaker 7.2 FDK. I followed the example which allows me to add simple strings. What I need to do is to insert formatting in the text inset such as a bulleted list followed by a table. Can someone provide an example of how to accomplish this?

bob,

Can you clarify this question? I can't tell if you are talking about text insets as imported files or just inserting text.

The insets are not imported as files, they are generated as client text insets by an FDK plugin.

I see that you got an answer from Scott on the Yahoo forum. Perhaps he might repost it here.

OK .. sure, reposting without the info about structure (since that wasn't asked here) ..

The only difference between doing this in a text inset vs. not in a text inset is that you'd first create the inset object, then move the insertion point into the inset before creating the other objects. Start by creating an inset of just a single word, then a paragraph, then move up from there. You can also copy the necessary objects to the clipboard, then paste that into the inset. Just remember that the inset needs to be unlocked before adding content to it and you need to make sure the insertion point (text loc) is within the inset before pasting or adding content.
