Mary,

All the music for each of my individual slide shows that I created in
PSE showed under the photos on a violet colored background. (Yes, both
the ones that played in Premiere and the one that didn't). I was just
thrilled I was able to figure out how to get the music where it should
be without having to make another post.

Your description seems like a normal layout for the Photoshop Elements v6 slide show editor.

So if you have any additional problems with that one song, the next step would be to look at Bill Hunt's suggestion for examining the Premiere Elements tracks.

"it was one row below all the other songs." Usually, when Audio goes to
a Track that is different than other Audio, it's because it is a different
format, i.e. mono (or stereo) when all others are stereo. In Timeline,
there are little "speaker" icons, that let you know the format (not file
format, but layout of channels) of the Audio on that Track. You should
be able to pull up the Properties for that file from the Project Panel
(forget exactly what PE calls it). It should indicate the source format
- stereo, or mono.

Barb,

I actually figured out how to add the music clip to the slideshow while it was in Premiere Elements. Like I said, my intuition is finally kicking in. It was actually quite simple. I was concerned that when I added it, it might push the other songs over, but it just fit itself inbetween the two other songs very nicely just like I hoped it would. I am coming around. Maybe once I learn this program, I should write a book on how to use it I could definitely give instructions from the perspective of someone who is starting video editing from scratch. Seriously, the Muvix book is on my Christmas list. I am looking forward to having a good tool to help me learn more about the program. For now I am happy with what I accomplished. I can't wait to see what else I will be able to do. I love a challenge!!!

Thanks again,
Mary
