Is it possible to actually record the metronome sound directly onto an Audition time line. I just want to make an opening 2 bar count to stick at the front of a piece of music. I don't want the metronome sound all the way through the track.
I've tried everything I can think of, but short of actually recording it with a microphone via the PC monitor speakers, I can't see how to do it internally within Audition. Thanks for your help. Mark |

What kind of audio card/interface are you using? I use an RME FireFace 800 that allows "loopback" in its mixer and this is how I have accomplised this in AA1.5 before.
The loopback function is the same as connecting the output to an input, but instead of using cables, it is done internally in the interface. Having said that, I also have an RME HDSP 9652 in my tower machine and it does NOT allow loopback, so this functionality is tied to the capabilities of the particular interface/card that you are using. --Dean |
