I suppose it could be a lot of concurrent errors introduced by the CD burner. Have you tried cleaning the lens in it? or may be the laser is on it's way out and not producing enough power. Are you using the same CD blanks as before as a change in the dye used on them might make the burning less sucessful. Also try burning at a slower speed.
