I have been able to edit and create profiles for my D2X, and use them in lightroom, so I know I am using the profile editor correctly, and saving the resulting profiles in the right place.

I tried to create a profile for my wife's sony point and shoot, which only produces jpegs. I photographed the color checker, converted the resulting jpg to dng, and created a profile in the profile editor.

However, lightroom does not show the profile for photos taken with the sony. Can the profile editor be used to create profiles for point and shoot cameras that only generate jpegs?

The profile editor is a great tool BTW.
