Sorry for the old-school term ("double-spacing"). I was just trying to describe how it appears on screen. Next time the problem occurs, I will indeed check the leading -- although I still don't understand what could be responsible for a sudden, seeming arbitrary change in leading affecting only parts of a text document imported from Word.
