Default Allowing save copy in Reader from Designer form

(I'm sorry if this is a redundant question, but I have been searching a lot of forums & cannot seem to find a clear-cut answer & fit-it for the problem)

I have created a form in Designer 7.0 & would like another person it to be able to save a copy for their files after they have filled out the information. (They are using Acrobat Reader 9.0).

When they open &/or try to save changes, they have no rights to do so even though I created the form with 'No Security'.

Is it possible for a form created in Adobe Designer 7.0 to be saved by another person using Acrobat Reader 9.0?? If so, how? And if not, do I have to purchase $1500 in more software (Reader Extension?) ???

Thank you for your time!
Julie

Ok, so I finally found some answers & thought I would share for those that may want to know....

Adobe Reader (I think 8.0 and above) CAN save a pdf file. One would just have to go to file, print, then change the printer option to "Adobe PDF" & chose the location to save. It will do some crazy things, but then will save a copy of what you have typed within the form. You will NOT be able to go back into it and change anything after saving - only print.

There is actually no Acrobat version or additional software I can purchase that will allow Adobe Reader users to modify fillable forms after they have saved. They would need to have Adobe standard (or pro). And now that I understand the financial aspects of this, I get why Adobe Reader is just "a Reader" program....

Your "workaround" only works if you also have Acrobat concurrently installed! The "Adobe PDF" printer is part of Acrobat. (By the way, concurrent installation of Reader and Acrobat or any combination of versions of Reader and/or Acrobat on a single system is highly not recommended - it can cause all sorts of squirrely things to occur!) So what does that buy you if already have Acrobat in which you can readily open the form and save it?!?
