Default unable to lock content

I have a new InCopy user here who is trying to edit some content. She gets a message saying "unable to lock (file name)". She gets this message with every file she tries to edit and no one else seems to be having this problem.

Our designers are on Macs using InDesign CS3 and our editors are on Windows using InCopy CS3. I have both and I can edit the same files on my PC without a problem.

I believe there may be a missing plug-in or something simply didn't install properly. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Any ideas from anyone?

Sounds like it could be a permissions issue. Does the user have read
write access to the drive and or folder where the files reside?
