Let me see if I can state all the facts.
Yesterday I was using Golive just fine, the I tried to use it today and it won't load. It starts to run the splash screen, the when it gets to "initializing application" it closes and says "Adobe GoLive Application has stopped working" A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. Then I have to click "Close Program". I tried to start the program many times to no avail. I restarted the system...that didn't work. I uninstalled and reinstalled...that didn't work. I have GoLive 6. I have Vista Home. A little over a gig of ram... It was working fine before considering GoLive is a total ram hog. but it was working. I hope someone can give me some idea of what to try next. Thanks in advance, Bob |

Bob E K,
Sorry, I can't help... since I'm having exactly the same problem. I'm using (or rather not using since it won't load) the latest version of Golive with Vista Home. Worked just fine yesterday. Today, nothing. Any fixes anyone? |

FYI I am using GoLive 5 on a Windows XP SP2 with no problem loading. I did not update to SP3 because of reports of people having problems with other programs. When I purchased a new laptop last July I got one with XP because GoLive 5 will not work with vista (I believe I read that here).
I have upgraded to Dreamweaver CS4 but want to keep GoLive 5 working until I can learn DW. I guess I will not update to SP3 now, for fear of it keeping GL 5 from loading. |

Have you already tried deleting your GoLive preferences? Sorry, I work mainly on Macs and haven't had to troubleshoot that sort of thing on my Windows machine yet. If you have another user account set up on the machine, will GoLive start from that?
