I thought I had removed all previous bits of Acrobat 7 and 8 but when I try to install Acrobat 9 Extended I get the error cannot remove Distiller 7.
How can I remove all the bits of previous iterations of Acrobat? Is there a tool to do this? Or are they all put in a place I can got and just delete them? I used normal installation and accepted the default locations for all installs. Any help greatly appreciated. Craig |

Supposedly it had been removed when I upgraded to the CS3 Master Collection. I had major problems with the install. I ran the CS3 removal tool which supposedly would remove all old traces. Now all components have been installed except acrobat. In the meantime I got the Acrobat 9 Ext as a separate purchase, because I needed the 3D functionality.

I would recommend using the "Windows Install Clean Up" tool available from the Microsoft website (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301). Even if an App isn't showing in the Add/Remove programs dialog, this tool will usually find it because MSI installers are cached. Run the tool, select Acrobat 7, and then retry installing Acrobat 9 Ext.
