Upping the number of Recent Files shown in menu?

There used to be a preference for this in CS2, but I can't find where to up the number of Recent Files shown in the File menu. Is this still possible?

And actually, I meant in Illustrator CS3.

I'm curious as to why it used to be an actual preference and now it's "hidden" like that...
