Is there a way to create a rounded corner rectangle and have my type justify all the way around it. I want the start point and end point of the text next to each other. The effect is to have a continuous path around a rectangle.

I can get the type to flow around the box OK, it's just trying to get an even justification all around. I seem to have a gap between the start and finish.

Slappy...that needs a space after the last "test" plus a little manual kerning.

But I'll bet the O.P. won't have the luxury of just repeating one word around perimeter, so fitting the text required is probably going to require some noodling to get it right.

That's what I had to contend with on a tattoo I designed for a friend of mine. He knew the words he wanted to use, and the size of the circle. He also sent me a copy of the font he wanted to use. I see now that I could have tweaked the kerning some more, but he was perfectly happy with it:

The type is not just the same word. It's actually a group of 3 to 4 words each seperated by a bullet.
Example:

THIS IS A TEST • THIS IS ANOTHER TEST • TYPE AROUND A PATH • 1234 TYPE •" etc

Ron...you'll just have to play with tracking, kerning, and possibly even some width stretching of the characters. It'll be up to your own sense of aesthetics to determine when it looks "right."

I agree. I doubt there will be a way to get it perfect, so it seems like something you'll just have to tweak. If someone does have a method to perfect this process, do tell!

The tweaking is the way to get it to look perfect!

Much less tweaking is required if the first tweak is to set a negative baseline shift of about half the visible height of the characters.

Doesn't sound like a one-size-fits-all solution to me, so you must be trying to infer more than you've actually written.
