I often have objects (marks, info text) outside of the document trim but within the bleed allowance set for a page that I want to be included when I print. The trouble is, when I save the file as pdf, some of those items drop out.
So, printing the doc to a printer or as .ps to Distiller the objects are retained. Saving-As pdf objects are lost. Does anyone have info on this or know if it is an issue resolved in CS4? Thanks, Dan |

It's quite o.k. in Illy to have the document larger than the actual trim dimensions. I often make my own bleed and crop marks and set the document to include the crop marks. Then omit crop marks in the output dialogue.

Looks like this is resolved in CS4. In CS3 you could place an anchorpoint on the artboard. Then make a symbol out of the object in the bleed area together with the anchor. This way the object ouside the artboard will be in the PDF as well.
