Dear members,

have a question which might be very stupid but at this moment it is troubling me very much.

I've made a very simple file useing photoshop. This file should become a sticker but the company I send it to will not coöperate.

They say the font should be converted to outlines.

first of all, is this possible with a photoshop file and how to do this
"select all (or just the font) --> create outline" is not working in illustrator (the option stays grey)

my second question is is this nescessary at all? I've also send a .jpg flattend file and a file where the font is rasterized (this should be right isn't it? if you can print a picture you can print a rasterized text right?)

I hope somebody can answer this question for me because I'm under some timepressure at the moment. I should either dump the company because of their incompetence or excuse myself for my rude behavior towards them and send the right file

what did you send the company besides the .jpg?

If you sent a .psd you should rasterize the layer with the fonts.

Layer>Rasterize>Type

I suspect the printer does NOT want the type rasterised, but as outlines so they don't have to have the font loaded. Sounds like a job for PDF to me.
