Since installing CS4 I seem unable to produce decent (useable) intermediates from AEFX CS3.
Workflow" Mxf file into AEFX Apply Keylight and obtain great key in the Preview Monitor. Render avi as Lossless with alpha (and audio) (Premultp checked) The result is grainy and patchy. Kind of noisy. Skin looks awful. Previously this workflow has been perfect. |

In both CS3 and CS4? Using the same effect settings?
Keylight's Spill Supression is famous for producing somewhat grainy results, I often use the keyed footage as an Alpha matte on the original layer. - Jonas Hummelstrand <http://generalspecialist.com/> |

Have you tried different interpretations of the source footage or project color profile settings? The difference may be related to the different handling of MXF files by MediaCore between versions...

I had no effects on the clips . ie I used the original source files (.mxf) in the comp. This has worked perfectly previously. No Spill Supression used. In fact the key was achieved using a minimal of tweaks /controls. Not sure how to try different interpreations of source files or color profiles. Never needed to previously. |
