I'm using Acrobat 9 Pro Extended and I'm trying to find the best conversion from Solid Edge. I have tried the direct .ASM but on some complex models, it errors out with "Exception has been raised". I've tried JT, STP and STL with success. However, one issue I'm having is with the model tree. On my PDF tree, each sub-assembly looks like this:
PDF Model Tree Model node 147453.asm 147453.asm node 145828.prt 145828.prt node node In my Solid Edge Model, my tree looks like this: Model 147453.asm 145828.prt Why all the duplicates and why all the "nodes" in the PDF tree? What format and options should I use to make the tree in the PDF look more like the tree in the model? Thanks, Jeff |

Jeff,
I've got a similar result with each part being followed by a "node" or two "node" entries in some cases. Sometimes this is the flat sheet metal development added to the folded part but in other cases it just appears to be a duplicate part. My problems extend to not being able to see some parts in an assembly. It's listed but nothing is visible. As if Acrobat had trouble with the triangulated mesh. |
