I'd love to see the ability to animate preComps like text Layers. For example: I break up a logo in Illustrator so each element (letters, shapes) are in their own layer. Then I'd bring that ai file into AE and adjust the layer order based on the animation order, the top layer animates first and so on.. Then I'd bring the ai comp into a new comp and I'd be able to pick an animation type for the transformation, just like I would on a text layer, and of course there would be a "enable per-layer 3d".
