Default clipping mask for a group

Hi guys.
Basically I have a background layer and group with 5 layers inside. I want to set an adjustment as a clipping mask to affect the whole group but I don't want it to affect the background layer. Is there a way to create a clipping mask for a group, so that just the layer within this group are affected and not the background layer?
Thanks.

Just make sure that your background layer is not inside the group, then put the adjustment layer inside the group and change the group blending mode from "pass through" to something else.
Alternately, you could ctrl-shift select all the layers within the group and apply the selection as a mask to the group (the bad part about this method is that if you move the layers or add/subtract pixels to them, you'll have to remake the mask.)
