I Import 12 jpgs.
Key in: Go<file, automate, batch>. In pop-up batch box under Play/ Set:"default actions" is displayed and no other option in drop down menu.
Under Action: 'Vignette" is displayed and other options in drop down menu such as "molten lead", quadrant colors" appear from nowhere. I have never used the Batch command and can't figure out where these settings come from. Am not able to change anything in the the drop down menus in PLAY and Action. No other option except "default actions" is allowed in Set:

Actions must be loaded in the Actions palette to be available from the batch processor. What you see are the names of recorded actions, which are sequences of commands. If you're just looking for resizing or something similar, you can use the Image Processor from the scripts section, also found in the File menu. For most other tasks you will have to record or load your action. Please do read the help files for how to do that and the options of the Actions palette.
